Cheeky Real People of Style Spring Fashion Show – Recap

Hello friends! I recently partook in the “behind the scenes” of Cheeky’s annual Real People of Style Spring Fashion Show. The models consisted of influential locals that are not only successful, but super stylish as well. The event was held at the new 1st Ward Events event space at The Chop Shop restaurant located in Bucktown. I plan on getting back here for dinner asap. They have the most darling outdoor rooftop.

Although the fashion show was the highlight of the evening, being able to get my makeup done and meet some of Chicago’s most fashionable people was by far the best part. So here is the exclusive run down behind the curtain!

Whitney Reynolds, host of The Whitney Reynolds Show, getting herself all glammed up. She was so sweet and I found out we are both from Oklahoma. OK!

Matt Roan and Jennifer Lake in on the action as well. Matt has DJ’d at Lollapalooza (twice!) and Jenn is the VP behind the powerful PR Agency, Zapwater.

{being bold with Cate McNabb}

Lily from Adopted Style – AKA the master behind the event, who styled each and every model. Keep your eye out on this one. She is going places!

Jenn and Matt ready to dominate the catwalk.

My girlfriend, Kelly, and I were spoiled by the Cate McNabb makeup team. Not only did we get a sexy, bold look for the evening, we received tons of goodies to take home too! Thanks Cate.
So now on to the main attraction. Let’s mosey on over to the catwalk shall we? All the featured outfits captured this spring’s hottest trends all by The Shops of North Bridge. Miss Lily Deuvel did an amazing job.

Miss Whitney again! So much attitude here. Love it.

Mark Beier doing a little booty dance and the fitness guru behind Shred415. Such a great personality.

Jamon Deaver making it rain! AKA the Editor-in-Chief of The Almanac Mag

Loved Jenna von Zielbauer’s Forever21 overalls paired with her Loubs! This girl owns the boutique, Von Z , and can also be found over at her well known fashion column, Coffee Talk.

Cameron Croft looking straight into the camera. No fear this guy. Cameron is a Social Entrepreneur taking businesses to a whole new level.

Jessi Sheehan, stylist and founder of Evolve. Cutie patootie! Obsessed with her style.

Matt Roan, best DJ west of the Mississippi.

Jenn Lake again, just an absolute doll!
I hope you enjoyed getting to know some of Chicago’s trendiest tastemakers as much as I did. A big thanks to my friend Kelly, CheekyChicago and Cate McNabb for being the cherry on top. Cannot wait for next year!
