To Snapchat? Or not to Snapchat?
That is the question. With top bloggers and celebrities jumping on board, a buzz is brewing around this video based media channel.
Personally, I LOVE it! It’s a deeper dive into people’s lives and the most interesting content (in my opinion!). Given the videos only last 24 hours (known as stories), people are willing to share much more here over their picture perfect Instagram. Think nights out, no makeup, morning rituals, behind the scenes, sneak peeks, early announcements and lots of doggies. It doesn’t have to look pretty, so anything goes. You also witness people’s REAL personalities. Writing is one thing, but on camera? We’re talking a whole new ball game – which I find especially interesting!
The down falls? It’s a b*tch to learn. You can’t see who is following who or how many followers people have. And it’s tough to find people. However with every problem, lies a silver lining. Given the difficulty to learn, it is super popular amongst the younger generations (no parents in these parts!). Also 2015 is the year of videos, so I foresee Snapchat only getting bigger. Piece of advice – jump on the train now or be late to the party.

I’ve been on Snapchat for a couple years, so I think it’s so funny it’s becoming a blogger thing now. I already went through my obsession stage and then forgot about it, but it’s fun now that more people are sharing their usernames, so it’s not just people you are close enough to that you have their phone number.
