End Of Summer Dinner Party Menu

The best thing about having a simple dinner menu up your sleeve is you’re actually inclined to invite friends over!

Why This Is The Easiest Menu Alive

I love this combo because you can pull it off on a week night (when a full day to prep isn’t possible). It entails the least amount of cooking. And since it’s made with tons of fresh, whole ingredients, all the colors make your table pop.

HOT TIP: For “farm-to-table” bragging rights, grab as many ingredients from your local farmers market!

Since the main course is made via crockpot, you can throw everything together in the morning and serve at your leisure. Absolutely zero coordinating with guests arriving.

As for dessert, the hardest part is popping the pre-made biscuits in the oven. I share my FAVORITE brand below and you’d NEVER know they weren’t made from scratch.

If you aren’t in the mood for entertaining, this is an awesome meal for just yourself and/or family. Spilling the beans below!

Easy End Of Summer Dinner Party Menu

Main Course

Liz Adam’s Crockpot Chicken Gyros: These are ABSOLUTELY delicious. For the fastest assembly, I set out my crockpot and the seasonings the night before. I can literally make it in under five minutes flat after breakfast. Try to pre-cut all the tomatoes and cucumbers ahead of time too.

Dessert

A Simplified Strawberry Poundcake: You can do any grocery store poundcake, angel food or biscuits. But I personally love these hot, buttery flaky biscuits {I get ours from Wholefoods in the freezer section but they sell them at Target and I think Costco too!). And since you bake them, it feels a little more “home made”. Before serving dinner, I slip inside and pre-heat the oven. And after I clear the table, I pop the biscuits in.

Top with sliced strawberries, berries and whipped cream. For a pretty presentation I cut the biscuit in half and sandwich some berries and whipped cream in the middle too!
