Aaaahhh…love is in the air. Royal Heir that is. And with Prince William and Kate Middleton tying the knot in less than 24 hours, us Chicagoans have no problem celebrating the Royal Wedding clear across the other side of the world. Here are some of the hottest, local events.

Four Seasons – Crumpets and Couture
An afternoon tea and fashion show featuring Karen Millen and L.K. Bennet. Sip on a glass of rose champagne and maybe find some hot new couture. All this for $55/person. And if you really want to do it up, Four Seasons is also offering the Royal Treatment for only a mere $5,500 a night. This includes a complimentary ride in a Rolls Royce, 24-Karat Gold Facial, a Champagne Toast to Kate and William from the hotel’s champagne butler, a 4:30 AM wake up call, an English Breakfast for Two, and of course the afternoon tea. A girl can dream right?

The Ritz Carlton – Afternoon of “Royal-tea”
On Friday, noon – 5pm, warm up with a traditional tea at the Ritz Carlton. A complimentary glass of rose champagne or Pimm’s Cup will be served while guests view the Royal Ceremony on flat screen TVs. Price is $35/person.

Features of the Royal Wedding will be playing all while enjoying the ambiance of the majestic Palm Court Room. Reservations are required. Only $35/person.

Cityscape – The Royal Wedding Viewing Party
Toast your Prince goodbye with these fun $7 themed cocktails on the penthouse floor of the Holiday Inn. The Courtship (Prosecco, X-Rated Liqueur, Razzmatazz and cranberry juice), The Royal Wedding (vodka, gin, rum, Blue Curacao and sour mix) and The Bitter Queen (vanilla vodka, peach schnapps and pineapple juice) . These adult beverages can be ordered starting at 11:00 AM on Friday and well into the night.

Blokes And Birds – For the Cheapskates!
Blokes and Birds, an English gastropub, will be airing the couples exchanging of the vows at 7pm on Friday. A variety of British food and drink specials will be available. Think traditional Pimm’s Cup cocktails, Half Pints of Wells Bombardier (A Bedford, English Brew), complimentary cucumber sandwiches and all you can eat Fish Fry!
