Farmers Market

Happy Friday guys!

The weather here in Chicago is seriously cray, cray. Rain and thunderstorms have dominated the sky these past few days, making me long for summer. One of my favorite things in the warmer months is hitting up the Farmers Market for some local produce and baked goods.

{opt for different colors for a more interesting chair of bowlies bowl of cherries}

Now that I am a married woman, I am determined to find my inner “wifey” this year (hopefully I have one!). Cherries on the counter top, Caprese salad for lunch (Heirloom tomatoes are the BEST) and swap delivery for a homemade pizza on the grill. Yum.

{love adding blanched asparagus to the typical caprese salad}
Good thing opening days are just around the corner. Only a month a way! You can check out the full list of dates and locations right here. There are so many markets all over the city but you will find me and the hub at the Division Street one in the Gold Coast.

{grilled pizza…to.die.for.}

Do you ever go to the Farmers Market? If so, what do you like to buy? The fresh eggs are one of my favorites. Each egg is a different size and color…the way eggs are supposed to be. Not perfectly uniformed like you find at the grocer. They make the best scrambled eggs you will ever have.

Well have a wonderful weekend kiddos!

Oh and one last thing…if you are looking for something to do these next couple days, Randolph Street Market is this weekend. Deemed the “Barney’s of Vintage” you can find the most amazing treasures. I am hoping to pop by myself. Deets below.
