Baby it’s cold outside!
Brrrrr! Chicago is freezing and snow is in our forecast. Rats. So Jack Frost is here so I am forced to start sprucing up the ‘ol winter wardrobe. I have rounded up a few items I am lusting over at the moment. What are you currently coveting for the snowy season?
Glitzy Smoking Slippers: Perfect for work, holiday parties and running out the door. These Katie Spades make me smile. Workin’ hard for the money!
A Popcorn Sweater: White popcorn sweaters are the epitome of comfy nights in. I have recently fell in love with the brand, 525 America – quality investment pieces that will last several winters!
Holst + Lee: I keep running into this designer on the world wide web. I adore the Rachel Zoe meets whimsical feel. And let’s talk about the magnetized clasps! I feel like a Holst + Lee item would compliment anything from a chunky knit to a cocktail dress.
Nike Thea Sneakers: I know the Nikes have been popular since the summer but I am especially liking the metallic details and dark swoosh on these. I can only find this version in Europe, but I plan on investigating a little more. I will keep you posted.
Hunter Boot Shearling Insoles: Are you dying about these as much as I am? I would do anything to wear Uggs during the winter but they get destroyed first rattle out of the bag due to puddles and slush. So Hunters are where it is at in my book. I am on my fourth winter! These cozy inserts will add that soft shearling feel to my old boots. Cannot wait to get these!
H&M Sweaters: I have already purchased two of these and I am obsessed! One of my stylish friends was wearing one and when I asked her where she got hers, she said H&M for only $19! I immediately went out and purchased two and they’ve been on repeat every since. They are long in the back and can be worn with leggings. Great traveling combo. They come in all sorts of colors too.
A Floppy Hat: I think it is time to jump on board with a floppy hat and this one from J.Crew looks just as luxurious as the iconic Rag & Bone ones.
Kate Spade Bow Eye Mask: For the sweetest dreams.
Dylanlex: Ok have you heard of her? A lovely PR girl told me how this designer is her major source of her fashion inspiration and I fell head over heels myself! Check out the Instagram – you will swoon your little heart out. This designer creates the most modern + traditional statement pieces and dresses up a simple sweater in a flash. Unfortunately they are out of control on the price spectrum but I’ve been wanting to re-create this look with items from Forever21 or Charming Charlie. So stay tuned!
