Holiday Gift Guide: Life’s Little Luxuries

christmas gift guide luxuries under $50

The key to a woman’s heart is an unexpected gift at an unexpected time.

And a touch of luxury is the best kind of surprise. Not everyone can afford the gift of Chanel or YSL – but actually…you can! Some of my favorite presents (gived + received) are something I wouldn’t typically spend on myself. If you want to make your loved ones feel extra fancy this holiday season without breaking the bank, try these ideas – and they are all $50 or less!

A Catch-All: A whimsy trinket tray is a beautiful bedside table accessory to drop earrings and rings right before slumber. C.Wonder has the best ones out right now too! The baubles just add to the decor.

A Well Made Candle: Quality candles not only burn longer but instantly make a room feel cozy. Not to mention the holders can be re-used. I especially love Diptyque’s Eucalyptus, Nest’s Holiday Line (just purchased two myself!) and anything by Jonathan Adler.

Cashmere: But I am not talking in the sweater kind of way. Have you ever tried Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist deodorant? It is so soft and light and smells amaaaazing. Double serves as a perfume. I know it sounds crazy, but once gifted to myself – it is such a treat getting ready!

A Blow Out: But not from just anywhere darlings. I am talking from Chicago’s NEWEST hair salon – DreamDry by Rachel Zoe. It is opening December 4th in Lincoln Park and will obviously be B-A-N-A-N-A-S. You can make an online appointments now and purchase gift certificates on their site. Cannot wait!

A Lovely Lip: Diamonds are a girl’s best friend but I think lipstick is a close second. Something from Chanel is quite exciting and I adore the Coco Rouge Shine – incredibly moisturizing and the perfect sheen. Another favorite gift I have received and lasts forever. But any brand will do! P.S. I always have the Chanel makeup counter gift wrap my item too. The mini Chanel shopping bag is gorgeous and watch your recipients eyes light up before they even know what’s inside!

Champagne:  Prossecco, Cava or Sparkling Wine is a normal grab and go to. But an actual bottle of Champagne (aka sparkling wine from France) is something out of the ordinary. Veuve is always a great choice but I also love this and this. And if you really want to top it off, tie a beautiful stopper to the bottle neck or add this fun coffee table book!

Polish: I mean doesn’t this YSL nail lacquer look so fun?! I have never tried it but I love a good designer polish. Another fancy beauty product that lasts and will make your loved one feel glamorous one mani at a time.
