Once I reached my upper twenties, I realized it is best to purchase quality over quantity. This realization is not earth shattering news but it takes time and some dolla dolla bills yo. I mean who doesn’t love an instant gratification top from H&M or Forever21? I do!

Although investment pieces cost a pretty penny, it is luckily that time of year where we can take advantage of some serious holiday promos.  These things I speak are NEVER marked down. And I could not be more excited that ShopBop is having their Best. Sale. Ever. NO brand exclusions and these incredible deals are available all week. Say what?! Bust out that wallet ladies, it is time to do some shopping. So here’s the scoop:

Spend $250= 15% off
Spend $500= 20% off
Spend $1000 = 25% off

And of course do not forget the standard ShopBop free shipping and no tax. What would I do without you SB?! You could even go in with your friends to make a larger purchase to score a bigger discount. Find the promo code and details here.

Thanks to my age and constant reading of fashion blogs and magazines, I have learned what quality pieces and brands are the creme de la creme of dollar per wear. Some I have and some I hope to purchase when I grow up. So what are these investment items and designers I speak of? Well, I thought you would never ask!

Equipment Blouse: These blouses are made of high quality and as flattering as it gets. I have yet to get one, but I have been dreaming of one for years. Everyone who has one is obsessed and can be worn to work or glammed up with pumps and statement jewelry. The perfect piece to seamlessly take you from 9 to 5.

Joie Sweater: The coziest of sweaters. I love the textures and designs – which gives off that put together look with just one item.

L.K. Bennet Pumps: If Kate Middleton wears them, you know they are good. I have the nude Sledge Pumps and they go with EVERYTHING. Not to mention they are age appropriate for anyone and everyone.

Theory Suit Pieces: Figure flattering and classic. No one does business casual like Theory. No one.

Canada Goose Parka: Extremely warm, water proof and did I mention warm? This is the chic of athletic gear and the brand even takes into account the woman’s silhouette.

Phillip Lim bag: I just purchased the Medium Pashli and guys, I am so in love with it! The leather is so durable and textured, which will hide stains and scratches as life goes on. The only thing I hate is that I didn’t hold out for this sale. Bah humbug!

Tibi Cocktail Dress: Tibi is a brand that looks “eh” on the hanger. But you put it on and you feel like a super model. The tailoring and structure is just out of control. I scored a few Tibi dresses for my honeymoon and they have been on repeat for weddings, showers and cocktail parties for two years now. Not to mention the colors and graphics are stunning.

Kate Spade Evening Bag: Oh so pretty, feminine and fun! I never want to spend the coin on something I will wear once in a blue moon – but then that blue moon comes around and my stunning shoes and dress are altered by my cheap clutches. Evening bags just never go out of style and it is time I finally make a move.

Stuart Weitzman Over the Knee Boots: I mean look at them! They have a stretchy back to fit your leg and pants like a glove. The over the knee can sometimes look Pretty Womanish but these are as classy as they come!

Loeffler and Randall Sandals: Made of leather, classic shapes with a twist. An instant leg pleaser.

Hunter Boots: If you live in Chicago, you just need these. Mine are going on four years and look just as good as the day I go them. And more importantly they keep my feet dry and toasty!

Diane von Furstenberg Two Wrap Dress: THE DRESS. This wrap little number has been around for years and for a good reason. It looks killer on anyone and everyone regardless of age, color or size. I have heard she really does last a lifetime and a piece you can pass down to your mini me someday.

So what investment pieces do you think are worth the splurge? Anything you feel is off point? I know there are so many more but the above list I have heard amazing feedback from people I know or tried and true! And don’t forget to check out ShopBop’s amazing sale here!

P.S. Tell me what you get!
