Do you have a go to spot for gifts? I do. Classic Remix, a darling boutique just off the Michigan Avenue chaos, is my jam. It feels like home and I can always find a last minute item in a pinch. Just like the name suggests, this store is filled with classic trinkets with a twist – which makes for the best presents. Especially those To Me, From Me. I pop by regularly and now my mom, mother-in-law, mother-in-law’s friend, sister-in-law and a few other friends are obsessed as well.
I typically am a little weary to go into the shops off Wabash as I automatically assume they are on the high end of the price spectrum. But this place will surprise you. It is filled with unexpected treasures that fit you budget no matter the number. Cross my heart.

This is the BEST. GIFT. EVER. My mom and I alone have given this to several friends. This cork case includes a small scroll of paper to record the occasion, date and spirit of a special moment. The perfect way to save a memory. I gave this to my mom along with a bottle of bubbly for her birthday. We popped champagne to celebrate on the spot and now keeps the cork in the case on a shelf as decor. But how amazing would this be for a special Christmas, anniversary, engagement gift, wedding present, new home or promotion? I mean I could go on!
Speaking of champagne. Flutes with “cheers” written in four different languages. Did someone say New Years?
