6 Skincare Tips for Spring

10 Tips for Glowing Spring Skin

Do you take care of your skin? In my younger days I could give a hoot about it. Now? I realize how it truly affects your overall appearance. BIG time. With all the products, treatments and articles out there, figuring out what you really need is overwhelming. Not to mention EXPENSIVE!

Since the warmer temps are upon us, it’s time to get our skin into shape! So I thought I would share with you my long-term and immediate beauty remedies when it comes to getting fresh-faced for Spring!

FacialsLeah Chavie Chicago
Rejuvenating your skin once a month with a facial is key. If it isn’t in your budget, invest in pampering your face in between seasons. Right now is perfect! And when I say facial, I don’t mean the relaxation kind. I mean an expert that knows how to help you achieve great looking skin.

There are several amazing places in Chicago but I personally adore Leah Chavie’s Stem Cell Facial. Guys. It’s amaaaaazing. Leah, for one, is very well-known in the Chicagoland area and even has a private studio to protect the privacy of her high-profile clientele. This facial is one of the best I have ever received and you see the results short-term and long-term! It firms the skin and promotes healthy re-growth of new cells. It leaves my skin glowing for weeks and she uses needling for optimal results.

Anti-Aging Skincare
I cannot tell you what specific brand to buy because everyone’s skin differs. So test, collect samples and try as much as possible! I was recently introduced to Radical’s Skincare line and I am loving it. I look forward to putting it on every morning and I can tell a difference after a month of use. I apply their antioxidant serum and face moisturizer twice a day and I hear their SPF is out of this world. Stay tuned for that once the sun actually comes to Chicago!

Eyes
For those long nights, I swear by Keihl’s Facial Fuel Eye De-Puffer (only $20). So calming and cooling, it’s really fun to put on! Morning life saver, especially before work.

A Healthy Glow
So I haven’t been a huge Lancome fan until the lady at Sephora recently made me try this bronzer! I am so pasty right now, but for some reason this Star Bronzer Natural Glow replicates the perfect sun kissed look. I encourage you to give it a run if the opportunity presents itself.

Lips
Lipstick and gloss looks terrible over chapped lips. Sara Happ’s lip scrub exfoliates dead skin and heavily moisturizes your pout at the same time. My mother in law gifted this to me years ago and now I wonder how I lived without it!

Bath Time
Did you know baths are considered a natural sleep aid? And sleep is one of the best things you can do to achieve well rested skin. I recently received Philosophy’s Basil Cucumber Cooler Bubble Bath and I am addicted. Even my husband loves the way it smells. You feel like you are at a spa and gets me away from life’s lovely gifts of stress.

Note: I received a stem cell facial from Leah Chavie and Radical’s skincare line gratis. As always, opinions and thoughts are 100% genuine and my own!
