Fork To Fashion: Balcony Baubles and Patio Pounders

Prossecco Cinemagraph

So remember my Fork to Fashion series? I’m bringing it back! But instead of matching apparel to restaurants, I’m highlighting cocktails, food and fashion at home. I hope you like this new twist.

Before we get started, do you like my cinemagraph (the moving wine above)? You might be finding these Harry Potter like images popping up around these parts. I consider them magical treats for the eye. They bring photos to life – almost as if you were right here with me.

So summer is slowly coming to a halt and fall is just around the corner. Nooooo! Didn’t it just get warm?

I’ve been taking advantage of the remaining warm nights we have left on our tiny balcony. I love pouring a bright, crisp glass of Prosecco and nibbling on a homemade smorgasbord of seasonal finds. Usually whatever is lying around in the kitchen works great. Radishes (from the farmer’s market), olives (canned), heirloom tomatoes and a block of parmesan. Super healthy and filling! When it comes to Prosecco, I personally love La Marca – it’s clean and bubbly and around $14. Makes for a great hostess gift too. Plus I love the label.

I usually slip on some sandal slides – just in case I need to run to the kitchen for a re-fill. I scored the ones shown here specifically at Target but have since sold out. I love how slides come on and off in a flash! And my new Vera Bradly Tassel earrings and a fun necklace dress up a tank with ripped jeans perfectly. That’s if you want to make a date out of it. Sometimes I have to convince Sean to ditch TV to join me 😉
