What are you up to this weekend? We are driving to Saugatuck, MI tomorrow – which is where Sean and I got engaged!
I plan on bringing my new striped peplum top, since the weather forecast is cool. It reminds me of Olivia Palermo’s look here. But only $13. An absolute steal I tell ya! SheIn is fabulous for finding on trend items, which are easy on the pocket book.
In other news, Kelly and I’ve been adventuring out in the suburbs. When we stumbled across this dreamy white house {those striped awnings!}, we simultaneously gasped out loud. It’s officially my dream home. I immediately ran up to the door, rang the bell and asked the owner for permission to use their home as a backdrop. When a house matches your outfit, a photoshoot’s in order!
The owner gives the Mrs. full credit for the charming curb appeal. But the surprise is knowing the story behind the door. It’s painted pale pink as an ode to her hometown – Notting Hill in London! If you aren’t familiar, Notting Hill is known for their colorful abodes. Raise your hand if you want to have a Notting Hill door too when you grow up. Just have to convince the husband…
And if that wasn’t enough, thanks to Instagram, my dear friend told me how she used to teach the home owner’s little one. She recognized the home herself! Talk about a small world. And one heck of a charming home. Well done Mrs. Charming Home Owner. Well done.

I love that you went up and asked for permission! Just another reason why I love you. I spotted this adorable VW bug parked in front of a house on my walk last night, but the owner’s were sitting on their front patio and I was too embarrassed to snap a shot. I should have just asked! Cheers to the weekend…hopefully we won’t be snapping each other at 5 am tomorrow morning 😉
