Off The Registry! A Fun Bridal Shower Gift

After a decade of weddings, once and awhile you come up with a great gift idea. When a lovely couple co-habitats together, it’s especially appropriate to go off the registry. After all, they already own all the kitchen gadgets.

If you are in a pinch for a wedding gift and completely clueless where to start – here’s an idea I gave my high school BFF this past weekend.

Let’s add a little surprise to peoples lives right?!

Since the love birds will be honeymooning in Australia – I gifted a Louis Vuitton Sydney City Guide, along with a 30 Day Admiral Lounge Membership. How fun to map out a few hidden gems before the big trip? It can also double as a luxury coffee table book afterwards. Decor with meaning is the best interior design in my opinion.

As for the Admiral Club, the Mr. & Mrs. can relax in comfort at the airport, take advantage of their concierge service and drink all the wine and beer they want. It’s included! Traveling in style never gets old. Fun idea right?

P.S. Louis Vuitton includes guides for almost every major city world wide {including Chicago!}.

On top of it all, my mom found the perfect box! It served as the gift wrap for the shower – but is actualy a keepsake box for the Honeymoon! Think plane ticket stubs, memorabilia and photos.

I ordered this little Rebecca Minkoff number from Rent The Runway just for the occasion! Don’t you hate when you have to look nice but don’t think about it until the morning of? I was so happy to feel put together with little thought! The lace sleeves are nice and cool – so you can wear it for summer. The vertical lines definitely “skinny-fy” you. Which is a big plus in my book. Plus I was comfy the entire time with plenty of room for eating. Extra donut? Yes please!

The shower was hosted at Luxbar – my favorite go to spot in Chicago! Sean and I used to go here for brunch, lunch and dinner multiple times a week! After a beautiful time, my girlfriends and I went to Randolph Street Fest and got ROW.DY. I may have had the tequila flue for a few days. If you haven’t been to Federales (just opened this week in the West Loop!) and thrown an ice shot glass at the bell, you should. It’s super fun.
