Le pique nique Tips

  1. Base your menu on room temperature or cold items. Nothing hot! It get’s messy. Trust me.
  2. Blankets don’t have to match. Just keep a common color theme for a cohesive feel (we went with blue). How fun is this one?!
  3. Flowers, flowers, flowers – they dress up your picnic like no other. One bouquet will transform your entire spread.
  4. Bring pillows for ultimate lounging and comfort.
  5. Wine buckets aren’t just for wine! Use it for water, juice boxes, flowers and more.

The Menu

  1. We went with ‘make your own’ french radish sandwiches – french bread, thinly sliced french radishes (the are more oblong versus round), lettuce, butter and salt. Very french!
  2. Brie cheese, salumi and crackers
  3. Deviled eggs (sprinkle with parsley flakes for a pop of green)
  4. Macaroons
  5. Fresh strawberries
  6. Butter cookies

The Rosé

  1. Whispering Angel ($19): the palest blush pink and my absolute favorite right now!
  2. Veuve Clicquot Rosé ($66): luxury at it’s finest. Champagne goes with everything.
  3. J.P. Chenet Sparkling Rosé ($9.99): one of my go to sparkling rosés. I also love bringing this as a hostest gift. A tad spicy with a light sweet ending. Can’t beat the price.
  4. Miravel Provence ($22): Did you know this is Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s winery? Bold and spicy.
  5. Check out the top 11 rosé wines with the PRETTIEST labels here!

Make Your Own French Picnic!

Do you like picnics as much as I do? I want to surprise Sean one night with an evening picnic instead of a typical dinner at home. Larry would get to come too. Woof!

P.S. I found my wicker baskets a couple years ago at a garage sale for $9! So cute right?
