Since nicer sleepwear can be pricey, I wanted to share my “Christmas Jammie” strategy with you. I’ve found these two techniques get me the longest use and ensures I always have a “cute pair” to wear.
Here are my two biggest tips!
- Winning Formula: ONE nice pair and ONE affordable pair. I like this combo because it means if one set is dirty, there’s an extra pair clean. I prefer to indulge on one nice pair because they tend to last longer and more breathable – which results in a better sleep. I like to go with a more affordable pair so I save money and it’s just fun to get a current, cute new print!
- Opt For “Wintery” Prints Over Holiday. This way you can wear them all winter long – versus just December.

Dalton Flannel Pajamas – Serena & Lily
My warmest pair! The cozy flannel keeps you toasty on the coldest winter nights. And of course from one of my favorite stores, Serena & Lily. Let the lounging begin! FYI – mine are from last year and a slightly different shade of blue from the current ones. They also have beautiful linens, slippers and robes that I would live in all day if I could.
Pima Long John Set – Lake Pajamas {my favorite}
As mentioned above, these are the most luxurious, breathable, comfortable things I’ve ever slipped on my body. WORTH IT. I love them so much I included them on my gift guide. The “it” brand for PJ’s right now you will not regret putting these on your wish list. Sadly the print is from last year but all of their styles and fabrics are so cute. They have ones for littles too!
Red & White Stripe Flannel Set – Target
I’m a sucker for stripes. This comfy, classic menswear inspired set is only $25!
Holly Set – Target {my most complimented}
The same exact brand as the pair above, the holly print is so feminine and pretty. I got a million questions about them from this post and my photographer said she wanted them ASAP. I also found the SAME print in a waffle long john style. WANT.
White Elephant Personalized Velour {AKA Penelope’s Pajamas}
Can you even stand these!?! With her HAND SEWN name and details, Penelope will absolutely be waking up in these on Christmas morning. Made of soft, warm velour, we can tell she feels so snuggly in these! Thank you White Elephant Designs!
