5 Hosting Easter Ideas

Tablescape

Instead of buying all new bunny themed tableware, I like using as much as I own as possible. I’ve found in the long run, it’s less hassle, less storage and I’m more apt to actually use the specialty items!

The easiest way to do this? Stick with a color theme. I did pastels with pops of carrot orange. My grandmother’s china, a favorite tablecloth, some borrowed placemats {thanks mom!}, tulips galore and festive food and drink worked out beautifully.

I of course sprinkled in some new finds. If you are in the market, or need a last minute scramble, I had some major success from At Home. SO. MUCH. GOODNESS. this season. First, let’s talk about alllll the texture this moss runner brings! And these little white bunny containers are too sweet. I filled mine with tulips, but you could easily do candy too!

Centerpiece

Never underestimate the power of supermarket flowers and produce. I made bank with seven tulip bunches, two kales and one Swiss chard. Super affordable and I didn’t even take the rubber bands off! You can get the full video tutorial here. TIP: Send each of your guests home with a bouquet.

Place Setting Idea – Flower Pot Crudités

After seeing Annie Campbell’s flowerpot crudités, I had to try them for myself. They are SO EASY, healthy, fast and DARLING. To save time, use as many pre-washed, trimmed veggies as possible. Click to get the full video tutorial here.

P.S. A follower told me to use a liner (like parchment paper) when placing food in flowerpots due to possible lead/toxins.

Place Cards

Don’t the name cards look darling nestled inside the crudité pots? Such a special touch! I’m a sucker for hand written place cards (and menus!), so I had my local calligrapher, Liv Design Co, whip these up. You can get these same cards on Amazon for $9! If you live in the Western Chicago Burbs, I cannot recommend Olivia more.

Featured Cocktail

Whether it’s liquor poured inside chocolate bunnies or a mimosa – a welcome cocktail is always a treat. Here’s the recipe for a Bunny Mary shown here – aka a Bloody Mary made with carrot juice!

What are you doing for Easter this year? We are spending it with my family and I’m already PUMPED for the egg hunt. Penelope‘s going to flip!
