Crisp and Clean for Spring

Spring in Chicago still means snow on the ground but this extra hour of daylight is such a treat! To make the transition from winter, I have found myself wearing a few items in particular over and over and over (shhhh…don’t tell anyone!). These neutral basics are lighter than the typical dark attire but still warm and cozy – ideal for the chilly weather.

I have been sporting my Madewell oversized white button up probably 2 – 3 times per week, whether it be under a sweater or by itself. I’ve worn it to work, out with the ladies, to brunch, etc. I really can’t wait to use it as a swim suit cover up, completely open, with the sleeves rolled up.
I continuously keep this leopard clutch inside my bag in the event of a last minute outing with the husband or ladies after work. And my earrings (an NYC purchase) have not come off because they literally go with everything!
Oh, and my girlfriend spoiled me with this new lipstick for my birthday that is quite magical. It is a hydrating lip balm and lipstick in one, which is great for wearing a pop of color on chapped lips (typically a no no). I also am in love with my little bow necklace (another birthday gift from one of my main gals) – isn’t she darling?!

Kate Spade tote (no longer available) // C. Wonder earrings // Dogeared bow necklace // Chanel Rouge Coco Shine
I love each and every one of these pieces because they are so flexible and classic with every season. So how do you transition from winter to spring given the colder climate? I plan on bringing color back like no tomorrow. Winter, I am so over you!
Also, I’d like to give a special thanks to Monica for snapping some pics of me. She got me a little out of my comfort zone today with this outfit post. Eeeek!
