The Buzz | Vol. II

Goodness gracious. Is it really Monday already? To transport us away from our desks for a moment, I have put together the second round of C&R’s new series, The Buzz.

1. Soho House Chicago: The exclusive Soho House is opening in Chicago’s West Loop next month! If you haven’t heard of the Soho House, it is a hotel and members club, aimed for the media, arts and celebrity clientele. Originating in London, Soho House is also located in Manhattan (think Samantha in Sex and The City – love that episode!) as well as LA. A long list of celebrities belong to Soho and is already Chicago’s most coveted ticket in town. The Chicago club includes private screening rooms, a rooftop pool and restaurant for members only. But the hotel, Cowshed Spa and two restaurants will be open to the public. Although the online application has yet to be posted, I have noticed a few Instagrams of people receiving acceptance in advance. They also just hosted a concert in an undisclosed warehouse for an exclusive group. So how does one become a member? Traditionally one must be referred by two existing members. But the application will be posted online within the next few weeks. If you are familiar with the iconic East Ban Club, think of it is a newer and swankier version.

2. Eat Drink Nap: Bring “The House” to your own home, by snagging this book created by the Soho House themselves. Learn the insider tips, tricks and recipes right from the horses mouth. Wouldn’t this make a fabulous addition to your coffee book collection?

3. An Over Sized Tunic: Over sized tunics have been deemed on trend for 2015. Get ahead of the game and purchase Madewell’s cotton poncho on sale in stores (unfortunately sold out online). I just got this one myself and it’s the comfiest thing ever! Pair it with heels or flat sandals, it’s quite versatile.

In case you missed last week’s, you can catch up here. I started reading #GIRLBOSS and cannot put it down! What’s been on your radar as of late?

And be sure to come back. Tomorrow I will be sharing one of my favorite summer spots in the city to grab cocktails and oysters.
