Wherever the Wind Takes Me

I will go wherever the wind takes me.
Sometimes when walking through the city, I will see a place that peaks my interest. Instead of whipping by in a hurry, I pop in and ask the first person I see lots of questions. Spontaneity is good for the soul don’t you think?
The Poetry Foundation Library in River North is one of those places I recently blew into. Did you know it is the only library dedicated exclusively to poetry in the Midwest?
The breathtaking architecture is worth a visit alone and the tucked away public garden is what initially caught my eye. In addition to the books, there is a performance space and several hosted events. Things for kids too!

So when adventuring, I prefer to walk in both style and comfort. A breezy dress is key when exploring Chicago. It can be both formal or casual – fitting the attire of any place you may stumble upon.

A slightly, dressed up sandal is also given. In this instance, I paired my maxi with these pink ladies, aviators and a patterned clutch.

If you live in Chicago, you understand a bright, light jacket always comes in handy too. It is the Windy City after all.

So what about you? When is the last time you explored unchartered territory? Please share in the comments below.

P.S. Here is another place I discovered on a whim and just so happens to be right around the corner from The Poetry Foundation Library.
