All my ladies!!! It is FINALLY here! Chicago’s very own Rent The Runway store front is officially open! Located in the heart of Gold Coast, our lives just got easier and our wardrobes more fabulous. Gone are the days of having “nothing to wear” and forking over our entire pay check for that perfect dress. Not to mention we only wear once.
As you may have noticed, I’ve been anticipating the arrival for quite some time. As a long time fan of Rent the Runway, it has saved my life more times than I can count.
From a girl’s trip to Vegas; to my wedding day (for my necklace!); to making my husband look good (arm candy). Originally available online, RTR has opened handful of physical locations in cities around the nation. We are so lucky Chicago is now one of them! Walk ins and appointments are available now.
My favorite part about using renting a dress, is adding an additional size of the same dress for FREE to your order. No worrying if it is going to fit (go ahead and order dessert!) or a specific designer runs small. Also, they sort dresses and accessories by occasion, for easy searching (wedding, cocktail, Derby party, etc.). Big time savor when you get invited to a last minute event or off the cuff hot date.
I recently went with this red little number from BCBG and only cost me $40. I love how excited I was to receive something outside my current wardrobe and feel confident. Trying to wear a new outfit for all my meetings and hot openings can be expensive. Heaven forbid we wear the same dress twice in one month, right ladies?! I simply added my own heels, one of my favorite Furla handbags and a bouquet of tulips. My mom taught me to never show up empty handed.
