Happy New Year friends!

Can you believe it’s 2017?! I thought I’d share my very random New Year Resolutions. I do it every year and try my best to make them as specific as possible. Here they are.

  • Turn off computer and phone 2 hours before bed every night (it’s affecting my sleep BIG time).
  • Eat smaller portions. I signed up for the 21 Day Fix Challenge, and so excited to get started. I’ve heard great things and I love that you don’t count calories.
  • Wallpaper and install new lighting in our powder room by February. Shining On Design put together the most gorgeous design board for me! DYING to show you all.
  • Drink less alcohol. I love my glass of red wine at night, but I’m trying to cut this habit back significantly. Any tips or great substitutes? It’s not like I’m getting boozed up every night, just like to wine down. (No pun intended!)
  • Join a tennis league. I’m signing up for lessons today! I need to practice first, but my goal is to sign up for doubles competitively. But not serious competitive. Basically just get myself moving, meet new people and get invited to wine night afterwards. See, I’ve already forgot about the above goal!
  • Write simpler blog posts. I have this vision in my head that everything I write needs to have a million tips, hours of styled photos and be thousands of words long. When in reality a short, fun and useful tip is just as good, if not better.
  • Meal planning. I’ve realized the key to eating healthy is planning ahead, batching and/or freezing. So that’s exactly the plan. I started doing this in 2016, but I’m taking it up a notch. I got this cookbook for Christmas and I’m obsessed. I’m making 3 recipes this week!

Do you have any new year resolutions? I’d love to hear them!

P.S. How to write effective goals (one of my most popular posts!) and how to jump start a healthy 2017!

Random side note, but I’ve had my Canada Goose coat for a full year now and still LOVE IT. It’s the warmest, lightest, most comfortable coat I’ve ever had. Since Sean was a good boy this year, I got him one too 🙂
