My Christmas Tradition With My Mom

My mom and I have been decorating cookies every Christmas for over fifteen years! Those who can’t be with their Mom this Christmas might find comfort in sharing special treats like these, whether homemade or thinking of you cookies delivered. It’s a wonderful way to bridge the physical distance and let loved ones know you’re thinking of them during the holiday season.

This year, Penelope actually joined in on the fun! The way she delicately adds the sprinkles had us cracking up.

Last Christmas I surprised my mom with matching aprons for the three of us just for this tradition.

If you have a baking tradition too, I highly recommend matching aprons as a thoughtful gift. Ours are from Williams Sonoma and they usually always have a plethora in store.

To set the record straight, I have nothing to do with the baking. I just decorate! Which takes us 3.5 – 4 hours to apply all the teensy weensie icing details on every single sugar cookie.

This is such a special tradition to me, so I wanted to share and document this for my own personal memory. Even if just iPhone photos.

Do you have any special traditions? Tell me here!

P.S. Another Christmas tradition 🙂
