A Surprising Way To Befriend Your Neighbors

There’s a near by street Sean and I lovingly dubbed the “fun street”. We swear families are walking around like it’s a block party seven days a week.

You’ll find kids regularly shooting hoops in one an-others driveways or running down the sidewalk. And the adults seem to be sipping cocktails in their front yards on a nightly basis.

I actually love this street so much I’ll purposely make it part of our route when walking Larry or riding our bikes. Haha!

But it wasn’t until recently we figured out their secret….

EVERY HOUSE has chairs in their front yard.

So simple, but GENIUS.

After letting this idea sink in, I realized we typically engage with our neighbors too when we’re watering the plants or playing in the front yard. Conversations spark up when they walk by or pulling in their driveway. Penelope’s even wound up with impromptu play dates this way!

So to follow in the footsteps of the “fun street”, I ordered these gorgeous Cabana Stripe Sling Chairs from Society6. They come in all different colors and prints and easy as pie to set up.

Since they easily fold up, I foresee us bringing these to outdoor concerts, movies, or even a local beach too.

My goal is to sit in our chairs this week {with a cocktail in hand} and see what happens! I’ll keep ya posted.
